On 20 May 2025, the Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources published the draft Mineral Resources Development Bill, for public comment.
We are considering the implications of the proposed amendments to the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 28 of 2002, to ensure that we are best placed to assist mining companies with the inevitable consequences, should these amendments be promulgated.
Comments on the draft Mineral Resources Development Bill must be submitted by 13 August 2025.
