  • Advising Aquarius Platinum (SA) (Pty) Ltd on the application of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 58 of 2009 (as amended) to residue stockpiles and residue deposits (2014)
  • Acted for Aquarius Platinum (SA) (Pty) Ltd in a High Court application to set aside the proclamation of the National Environmental Laws Amendment Act, 25 of 2014 (2015)
  • Advising on the application of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 58 of 2009 (as amended) to historic tailings disposal facilities (2015 and 2016)
  • Advising on the development of an industrial complex on the surface of land which is subject to a Mining Right (2015)
  • Acted for Samancor Chrome Limited in a successful interdict application to prevent the development of a township on mineralised land in the North West (2015)
  • Advising on the obligation to rezone land in Gauteng and the North West Province for mining purposes
  • Advising on the civil and criminal liability of directors for the failure of a company to comply with environmental legislation
  • Drafting of numerous appeals in terms of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 28 of 2002 (as amended)
  • Drafting of numerous appeals and representations on behalf of clients in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 107 of 1998 (as amended)
  • Advising numerous clients on the BEE obligations contained in the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 28 of 2002 (as amended)
